Green Chile Cheese Grits

Creamy, cheesy, and full of bold Southwestern flavor, these Green Chile Cheese Grits are comfort food with a kick. Smooth, buttery grits meet melty cheese and fire-roasted Hatch green chile for a rich, satisfying dish that works any time of day.


INGREDIENTS:

• 6 cups chicken broth

• 2 teaspoons salt

• 1 ½ cups grits

• 1lb grated cheddar

• 3 beaten eggs

• 1 ½ sticks butter

• 2 cups cream

• 3-4 dashes Tabasco sauce

• 2 cups chopped green chiles (seeded)


DIRECTIONS:

• Use a large stove top pan. Add grits to boiling salt water and cook for 10 minutes on low. • Add cheese, eggs, butter, Tabasco sauce, and green chiles. Stir until cheese is melted.

• Pour into greased 9x13 casserole dish and cook at 350 for 30 - 45 minutes.
