Hatch Valley Margarita

Cool, crisp, and kissed with just the right amount of heat, this Green Chile Margarita is a refreshing twist on a classic cocktail. Made with fresh lime, smooth tequila, and a hint of Hatch green chile, it’s the perfect sip for warm days and bold flavor lovers alike.


Ingredients - Makes 1 cocktail

• 2 oz silver tequila

• 1 oz fresh lime juice

• ¾ oz orange liqueur

• ½ oz agave nectar

• 2–3 thin slices fresh green chile

• Ice


For the rim:

• Lime wedge

• Coarse salt + a pinch of chile powder


Instructions

• Run a lime wedge around the edge and dip into salt (or chile-salt mix).

• In a shaker, gently muddle the green chile slices with the agave.

• Add tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and ice. Shake for 15 seconds.

• Strain into a rocks or margarita glass filled with fresh ice.


Optional Twist:

• ½ oz fresh green chile juice (strained) for a more authentic Hatch flavor

OR

• Swap in a green chile–infused tequila if you want deeper heat
